In the field of marine propulsion the Skandiaverken Group will exhibit two of its Yanmar engines in the WFE: the Yanmar 6HYM-ETE and the 6EY18 Yanmar auxiliary engine. The Yanmar 6HYM-ETE is a vertical engine, 4T, with a post-cooled turbocompressor, direct injection combustion system and mechanical regulator, which consists of a total of six cylinders and has a diameter of 132.9 x 165mm, with a potential of 500 Hp /1,950 rpm and a consumption of 148 gr/HP h. With dimensions of 1,556 x 1,014 x 1,133mm, its total dry weight is 1,385 kilograms and the turning direction is anti-clockwise when seen from the stern.
For its part, the Yanma 6EY18 engine is an auxiliary motor- available in two models: the 6EY18L and the 6EY18AL- which has been launched recently by the group. It is a 4T motor, vertical as well, with T/C and intercooler, six cylinders and a direct injection system with a pneumatic starter and a weight of 6,600 kilograms. According to the model, the revolutions per minute and the potential generation (kW) can vary: in the case of the 6EY18L, it can reach 720/750 rpm and a power generation of 360 kW, 400 kW, 450 kW, 500 kW and 560 kW; whilst the 6EY18AL motor reaches 900/1,000 rpm and a power output of, 400 kW, 450 kW, 500 kW, 560 kW, 600 kW, 680 kW and 750 kW.
