Companies devoted to the production of nets and ropes have always widely attended the World Fishing Exhibitions held in Vigo. This year's exhibition could not be an exception and manufacturers of nets and ropes will keep their appointment with the largest international fisheries exhibition. This time, these companies outstand due to the diversity of their countries of origin.
Like this, Vigo'09 will count with the presence of Tecnored S.L., a family business created more than 30 years ago which will exhibit a wide range of fishing nets. The company highlights its knotted fishing nets from 1.3 to 8 mm of thickness in any mesh measure and made with different raw materials of the highest quality (nylon, high toughness polythene, polysteel, etc.); knotless double and simple fishing nets for fish farming; certified security nets in accordance with current regulations on different constructions (with and without knot); and threads and ropes in a wide range of thickness and materials, as well as different constructions.
Richan arrives from China. It is a netting factory with surface of 60,000 square meters equipped with 100 sets of looms. In their factory, they start from extrusion, twisting, weaving and dyeing until final treatment and net assembling, including lab testing to break the strength of netting. Their products include nylon monofilament, multifilament, multi-mono fishing nets, twisted or braided, single knot to triple knot, knotted or knotless, as well as purse-seine netting assembled with Korean technology. They also supply mono line, fishing twine, ropes, floats and fishing accessories.
Fibras Industriales S.A. (FISA) is a Peruvian company that manufactures multifilament nets, ropes, and twine for their use in the fishing, aquaculture, sports, security and safety netting industries, among others. FISA produces twisted knotted netting, braided knotted netting, knotless Raschel netting and twisted knotless (Shogun) netting. The company provides its customers with a complete service and can supply fully built purse seine nets for fishing anchovy, tuna, menhaden, sardines and other species. ‘Since second semester of 2007 we also manufacture polypropylene bags and fabrics of the highest quality', explains the company, which highlights the 'resistance to impact and handling' of their products. They are made in a variety of colors and sizes and they can be woven or in plates. They also offer high protection against UV rays. Their bags may be used to pack fish meal, rice, sugar, animal feed, fertilizers, diverse mineral products, etc.
Tufropes Private Limited comes from India. It was established in 1993 and is an ISO 9001:2000 certified manufacturer and exporter of synthetic ropes and nets. The company exports technically superior products to more than 45 countries and has 'three state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities with world class machines and an experienced and dedicated technical and marketing team', explains the company. Its wide range of products comprises: 3, 4 and 8 strand ropes, fishing nets, sports nets, safety nets and rope articles. The nets are offered in either raw netting form which enables customers and end users to make the final netting as per their requirements, or custom made nettings, which can be used directly. Tufropes also manufactures 8 strand braided/plaited ropes from 3" up to 21" circumference (168 mm diameter).
Finally, Tunanets arrives from Istanbul. It is, according to the company, 'the most modern netting factory in Turkey and the largest "initial investment" made in netting industry, not only in Turkey but also in Europe'. Tunanets manufactures netting mainly for the fishing industry and also for the construction and horticulture sectors with its brand new machinery made by AMITA Japan in 2004 and 2005. The company has been awarded by ISO 9001:2000 Quality Assurance Certificate in 2006 as the first company in the netting sector in Turkey and is the only Turkish active manufacturer member and executive council delegate of Eurocord, a lobbying association of European netting, twine and rope manufacturers, based in Paris, France.
