The Conselleria de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación de la Generalitat Valenciana (Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of the Regional Government of Valencia) will hold a 32 - square metre institutional stand (K66) at the World Fishing Exhibition and Aqua Farming International. The stand will house four companies from this Levant region: Acuícola Marina, Blaumar, Maremar and Valenciana de Acuicultura. Almost all the production of these companies is focused on sea bream, sea bass, maigre and eel, although they have also started to introduce other species, such as mussel, oyster, tilapia, variegated scallop, samaruc and three-spined stickleback.
The Conselleria de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación will take part in the World Fishing Exhibition and Aqua Farming International in order “to promote fishing and aquaculture in the Comunitat Valenciana and improve the economic situation of the industry by taking different strategic measures to permit a higher competitiveness and a new boost to generate wealth and social welfare”. In order to do so, the Conselleria de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación has recently created the brand Pezcológico. La mar de natural, used to distinguish fish caught using sustainable techniques and which will also be present at the Exhibition.
